I was a beta reader for this book and it completely drew me in. I LOVED all the characters here (and their wonderful, intriguing, messy relationships with each other) and the world they inhabited. I don't normally gravitate toward fantasy/romance but this was such a fantastic read. 10/10 would recommend.
I was lucky to see a pre-publication draft of Girl on Fire and I have to admit I was a terrible 'alpha reader' because, every time I picked it up to make notes, I was too hooked on the story and characters. As a real dragon and Fantasy fan, it was interesting to discover Mary-Kate's take on dragon lore and their relationships with humans. I have to say that there are times when I wanted to give the 'hero' a clip round the ear for being a stupid boy but he's a fallible character with flaws, making this novel more of a romance than a fantasy story. So whether you enjoy 'romances' or fantasy and dragons, there's plenty to enjoy here.
I highly recommend this book for any one thats looking for and mature romance book i think it one of the best i read in along time
This book was an absolute delight.... the perfect liaison of passion, fantasy, humor, romance, and when all of that faded, friendship.
I cannot wait to see what Ms. Leahy comes up with next....
